This was the best Class celebration yet. It was a great day and a lot of fun. On a personal note: Since creating the web site and attending our many gatherings, I have learned more about my fellow classmates and gained many new life long friends than I ever did in school. We really are a great bunch of “kids” . And those that don’t join us, for what ever reasons they have, are really missing out. We had a terrific showing plus a few new classmates came that had not attended before. Sandy Comiske Kurtich of Oil City, Jerry Nelson came from Ohio and Steve Mix who came all the way from Texas.
The party was graciously held at the property of Sandy Cotterman Douglas. The property, used by her family for special events, consisted of a double garage with covered patio, another tent covered area and a wonderfully large fire pit. The party began at noon and ended close to 1:00 AM. Lunch began at 1:00 PM and consisted of more wonderfully prepared food than the men could handle. The afternoon and early evening went too quickly with lively conversation. Then at about 7:00 PM we broke out the hot dogs and the largest marshmallows I’ve ever seen. These were fired over the warm fire and were enjoyed by all.
As always, our Carol Thomas Krawiec was in charge and provided more work that anyone should have to. Many thanks to Carol and Ted Krawiec and Sandy Cotterman Douglas for setting up most of the party one day ahead of time. Then on the day of the party Carol and Ted Krawiec, Sandy Cotterman Douglas, Olen Murdock, Judi Grubbs Van Guilder and Paul VanGuilder helped with the final preparations. As the party ended late into the night, the final cleanup wasn’t completed until after 1:00 AM by Carol and Ted Krawiec, John Depew, and Sandy Cotterman Douglas.
