Joyce Eleanor Farrell, 72, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Oil City, passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at Regents Park in Florida after an extended illness.

Born April 29, 1945, in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wayne Shreffler and Isabella Louise Elder Shreffler. Joyce graduated from Oil City High School.

She was married to Wade Roland Farrell and he preceded her in death.

Joyce had been employed as a LPN for the Oil City Hospital for many years. Joyce loved her friends and family and will be remembered for her heart of gold and her witty but stubborn personality. She enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by two sons, Frank Farrell and his wife, Jennifer, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Steven E. Farrell, of Shattuc, Illinois; a granddaughter, Jessica E. Farrell; a grandson, Ryan J. Farrell, of Jacksonville, Florida; three brothers, Charles Shreffler, of Louisiana, William Shreffler, of Oil City and Gene Shreffler and his wife, Nancy, of Oil City; a sister-in-law, Kathy Shreffler, of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Wade, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Shreffler
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. John Miller residing. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent at http://www.reinselfuneralhome.com.
