Nancy Ann Rogers, 66, of 338 Oak Road, Oil City, died at 7:05 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012, at her residence after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Born Dec. 18, 1945, in Shippenville, Clarion County, she was the daughter of the late Hazel Wedekind Hodge.

She was a graduate of Oil City Senior High School, attended Pitt-Titusville and later received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Clarion University. Nancy was a licensed CPA and operated her own accounting office in Titusville for many years. An avid bridge player, she played in several duplicate bridge groups. She was on the VNA Board for 17 years and was a member of the Community Playhouse.

Survivors include her son, James Rogers of Cooperstown, and a granddaughter, Jenna Rogers, of Cooperstown; two sisters: Kim Hodge and her husband Tom Brodzik of Lathrup Village, Mich., and Pam and Larry Keverline of Venus; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins of the Wedekind family. Extended family survivors include Kathy and Dan Stofan, Jeff and Jackie Sherretts and Sara Sherretts and their families.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday at the Wedekind Cemetery on Knight Town Road in Shippenville. Memorials are being accepted at Northwest Savings Bank to start a scholarship fund for her granddaughter Jenna Rogers in memory of Nancy.
