Wayne Amer Reed II, age 75, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020, in Keller, Texas.

Wayne was born in Oil City to Wayne Reed and Ruth (nee Hoffman) Adcock on Nov. 10, 1944.

He graduated from Oil City High School in 1963 and was united in marriage to Frances A. Reed (nee Appleton) on Aug. 30, 1968.

Wayne’s greatest joy was his wife, Fran, his three daughters, and four grandchildren. He loved family gatherings and never walked away from a game of cards or LCR. He also enjoyed his “occasional” Budweiser and lotto tickets. Wayne had many wonderful family and friends that he stayed in regular contact with and liked recounting the great memories he shared with them. He was never far from his black phonebook and treasured iPad. Wayne was also an avid NASCAR fan.

Wayne will be missed by his daughters: Kelly Zarobsky, Kori (Ralph Zeigler Jr.) Barnett and Kathy (Paul) Ruckel; grandchildren: Tim (Kim) Barnett, Claire Ruckel, Sean Zarobsky, and Jay Ruckel; sister, Cordie Adcock; brother-in-law, Gerry (Anita) Appleton; sister-in-law, Lucy Appleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; stepfather, Dan Adcock; sister, Carol Ann Dryden (nee Reed); brothers-in-law, James Appleton and Mike Dryden; and nephew, Harold Leon Caldwell III.

A celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held in Oil City at a future date to be determined.
