The Oil City High School Class of ’63 50th Reunion was held over three days, September 20 – 22, 2013. (It was as perfect a class reunion as you can get)
Friday evening, Sept. 20th 2013 we were to meet at the Cross Creek Resort ,”19th Hole Lounge” for a casual, picnic style evening. While the evening was to begin at 5:30PM, because everyone was so excited about getting there, by 5:30 nearly everyone was there. And because so many classmates and guests came, the event had to be moved to one of the resort’s larger venues. There were approximately 90 of us there. The evening got off to a ominous beginning when an ambulance had to be called for Jim Etzel. He had passed out after playing a long round of golf. Dick Healy found Jerry Nelson, an anesthesiologist, that provided medical assistance until the ambulance arrived. Happily, the episode was caused by dehydration and not anything worse.
